Wow. Thanks DowntheAvenue for that information. I often read stories of rescue groups from other countries and this was really interesting. So glad dogs are cared for and rescued even when it involves great distances and red tape.

In our park we have a lot of French Canadians and I often ask them if their dogs are bilingual. They get a kick out of that question as I guess they never thought of it before. But I have dog sat for some and they normally tell me they understand both English and French. . . at least some words.
