Just purchased this rig. Previous owner has a dedicated line going from outside storage area to TV in the front. Hooked the coach to the house satellite and all is well.

There is a satellite on the coach, a winegard. I want to use it verses a portable. The angle meter sensor thingy was burnt out so I just ordered a new one. Have there been upgrades to

the existing dish that is mounted on the roof? My research has made me even more confused.

You have one one of these:

You can find the manual there as well to help you get setup. If it's more than a few years old it may flop around in the wind but it will work pretty well at other times. Some use a bungee cord to hold them in place in the wind. You can also replace the base if this is an issue and it will make it much tighter but will still move a bit.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?
