12v lights using 1139IF bulbs extremely hot-replacement?

I have 6 recessed lights and I pulled all the bulbs out as the paneling around the fixtures were hot to the touch. I've contacted several major retailers about getting LED replacements or if there is ...

Thanks for the responses. I'm trying out an LED bulb I've ordered. I would like to get more information on the LED panels tvman44 was referring to. I think the best thing is to experiment to see what works best.
