- STBRetiredExplorerMost pumps have a pressure adjustment. You should be able to turn it down, even though you probably don't need to. Most city water connections are higher than 20-30 PSI.

Bet you have 'GRAY' plumbing lines/fittings
It is 'Quest' piping......Polybutylene pipe
The pipe is OK but the aluminum bands/clamps fail.
If you have Copper crimps or threaded fittings it is OK
