Lest those who sacrificed in the First World War believe they have been forgotten...God Bless You
  • Both of my Grandfathers served in WW1 and one of them made a Naval career of it enough that he lived thru the bombing at Pearl where my Dad was in high school at the time. Dad went into the Army soon after and served in WWII European Theater as a combat infantryman up to E5 and then Nam as a "State Dept" employee. He did miss Korea with a College marriage and kid deferment.
I fly the flag often, and have the one he was buried under when he passed at 59 of a **** heart attack. Fort Sam Houston. That really pissed me off, all of that and lose him so young.
  • My Grandfather served in The World War, as it was known, up until 1945. I've been to the only Memorial built honoring the Vets of that World War, before World War 2 began... Kansas City, MO. Never forget.
