CRC says "Stor & Go" is better than the others.

Have not seen this before. Any one used this ?

Thanks

Like Dawg said - it's a religious thing :)... Pick whatever you believe in. I used both Seafoam and Stabil for storing my ancient carburetor truck for a 10-12 months. With 30-40% full tank. Sometimes with the same gas for 2 years, sometimes replacing old gas and 'foam after a year, sometimes adding fresh gas to partially used old gas (and then adding more 'foam too). Didn't notice any difference. Never let it sit without movement for more than a year. Never keep old gas for more than 2 years without at least partially diluting it with a fresh gas.

Rust and other climate-related deterioration was giving me more pain.

In little outboard motor I just drain the carb dry when storing more than 6 months.

During camping and football tailgating season, I don't use any stabilizer, but when I do use a stabilizer, I use Seafoam.

Seriously, during the period I know I will be using the generators a lot, which means using the gas in the gas cans, I don't use any stabilizer. I go through a lot of gallons.

But when I've shut down for the year, I will then put Seafoam in all the can containers and the generator tanks.

They're trying but Pemex insists on a max of 5% and the USA refineries are not ready to custom blend because the fuel comes from multiple US and Japanese refineries.

The price for Magna, which is regular is around $3.35 gallon. In the border area and all of the northern of the 2 baja california states all fuel comes from the USA or Japan.

Naptha. White gas. It is incapable of decomposing in the presence of O2

I've never had a problem with using seafoam as a stabilizer.. when I lived in Ohio I had lots of engines that would sit sometimes for 6+ months.. never had a problem starting right up on seafoam. I can't think of how anything could be better than works 100%

Working on boats for 32 years. This has been proven to be the best, for us. I work on over 700 boats and store close to 500. We have tried them all and this stuff won hands down. This is also the first stuff that does not go bad just sitting on the shelf. look at some of the older stabil bottles. They discolor or darken.
Full timing it since July 2012

I brought this up as we store our motorhome for months on end. Also, I had trouble starting some weedeaters, chainsaws, blowers, etc. last spring. A mobile mechanic fixed them all and mentioned that StaBil, which I had added to the mix, was useless.

I have since switched to ethanol-free gas for a mix and for straight gas items.

Here's how to check a stabilizer using many delineations that a oil company uses.

A metal can to prove or disprove MDA metal deactivator action

Fill the can, perhaps a gallon can 1/4 full. Even a metal pint can would work.

In the screw lid, punch a pinprick hole, meaning pin size to allow the inside to breathe.

Set the can in the sun but at the same time avoid rain, fog or dew. If the can breathes heating/cooling so much the better. A loose cover over the top would work fine.

Then the can has to sit for months. Treated or untreated, it takes time for distillates to transform. Heating and cooling (especially the heating cycle) accelerates the process.

It wouldn't take much to securely place several samples and check several so-called stabilizers simultaneously.

But the containers must be metal. To be picky, zinc galvanizing will make the test more realistic.

I watched these tests at the MTZ refinery lab. There the heating and web bulb values were strictly controlled.

Perhaps use trade stock cheapo station gasoline versus the high price spread, each having one sample of two treated.

This could be an entertaining experiment for someone who has a SAFE place to conduct a long-term test. Perhaps a 3-way shootemup - untreated versus say Sta-Bil versus that CRC product.

Guaranteed, the results of which would be a real eyebrow raiser.

Test odor, sediment and clarity would be the analytic's.

I urge safety-first if doing such a test.
