However, yesterday, I had an incident where I needed footage from it. I powered the camera down and pulled the SD card... the recordings were useless, even though it should have been just quietly recording and rolling over old files. It stopped a couple months ago for some reason, never gave any errors that it did, even though it kept showing it was filming.
Wow, that's rather troubling that when you needed it, it wasn't there. Also, I'm sorry to hear that you needed it, I hope everyone is OK.
I was looking at the Garmin site the other day, and stumbled across these:
- Garmin Dash Cam 10 - $220 - No GPS logging
- Garmin Dash Cam 20 - $250 - With GPS/Speed logging
They are pricey, but Garmin is generally a good name, I've had no complaints over any of their products that I've had over the years. There are certainly cheaper units out there, but maybe the price is worth it to get a long-lasting reliable unit?
Anybody have any experience with these?
