I've got battery gizmo this and battery gizmo that. Some I need to have portable. So I am ATTEMPTING to provide rechargeable LiION battery power to them. In 3.7 volt multiple (individual battery) increments.But 4.0 volt regulated chargers don't grow on trees. Look up 18650 charger on Dealextreme.com also 11500 these are mm size batteries in Li at 3.7 charge to 4.1v as well as charhers should be able to find them under flash lig h t batteries.

Tried and joined Dealextreme, but their site is near frozen in español. No site searches. No clue to where the batteries and chargers are. Type in the search box it just sits there and grins at me when I click search.

I've got a nitecore I4 intellicharger which will charge most every size liion battery to 4.2v As well as nimh and nicad aa and aaa. Even at the same time.costs about twenty bucks. Accepts 12v or 120v input

Bought two of the Nightcore I4's the other day from B&H photo in NY, $16.75 each. Got here quick. One is for use in the house, one for the Tiger.

I couldn't find a 12V adapter in their listing. Since it has both 12V and 120V female inputs, I went to Radio Shack and bought a pretty nice cigarette lighter plug-in with multiple tips. Yep, one tip fit the I-4.

I'll also shorten one 120V cord to carry in the camper so I'll have a 'dual voltage charger'. I'm in business both in the camper and at home. Thanks for the info.

To avoid the espanol translation problem and just access the north american English version

Today's electronic gizmos are surprisingly tolerant of voltage variations. Anything designed for two AAs or AAAs in series would probably be fine with one 3.7 V one.

I have a neat little suitcase weigh scale that I use for weighing propane bottles. Unfortunately the batteries died. Two CR2032 calculator batteries - dollar store replacements don't work. I hooked it up to my variable power supply and noticed it works on the range 5 to 9 volts. And it is fine on a much used 9 volt battery that is down to 6 V no load. I can't find high quality CR2032 batteries in town so I think I will solder that 9 volt to the scale.
