Can anyone recommend a dependable portable air compressor.I have 19.5 inch tires and they air up 75lbs in the front and 80lbs in the rear.I only really need one to top them off after storage.Any ideas?
Check ot the Sears Airboss compressor. Its a nice little 115 volt unit. Works great off my regular outlets, both hooked up to shore power or off generator. 135 psi, 3/4 hp with a small 1.2 gallon tank. Let the air out of a front tire on my class c and hooked it up. Had it back up to 80 psi in several minutes. Runs about $120 but if you look around its on sale fro $99 sometimes. Grumpy
I've been using this one for the past 3-4 years. I only have to pump to 65 psi, but this pump gets there quickly. I bought a 12v socket from Wal*Mart and a set of battery clips from Lowe's Home Improvement and made a rig to attach to my RV battery or the battery on my tractor or riding lawn mower to air up tires away from the house.
If you're looking for 12V, I bought one of these a few months ago. It's quiet, quick and very portable. I inflated my four truck tires from 70 to 80 PSI before I finished my coffee. The compressor didn't break a sweat. It comes with 9' 12V DC lines and a 12' air hose.
