Another Battery question

Hello fellow rv-ers.
I'm sure this was covered but somewhere but can't find exact answer. I recently purchased 2 new golf cart batteries from Napa. Not cheap I might add. I inadvertently left the aux battery switch in the on position for a day or three. When I finally realized this oversight, I immediately switched it off and turned the genny on. I thought for sure it would not start.
I assume the Ford battery, interstate, turned the genny over. Anyway ran the genny for four hours with the A/CC on. Checked the charge at the control panel. Reading was low, with everything off. Plugged in shore power, not 30 amp, 120v only. Charged for two days, still reading low. Is this a glitch or should I unplug and check with a multi meter.plenty of water in battery. Any suggestions, any info welcome.
  • Auntie Otch?

If you so desire, end your charging nightmares FOREVER with the installation of a

  • My bad on the post sight, should have known were to post, idjit as my grandmother would say. Yep you folks are correct. Pulled batteries and charged them. Checked for charge with multi-m then for the ocd in me ran down to auto zone and had them verify. All is well batteries are good. Thanks for the help folks. And yes I promise to post correctly next time :-) Cheers.

    THIS.

    x2

Also not sure what you meant about the 110 plug in. Do you mean it was a 15 amp circuit instead of a 30 amp. That should make no difference to your converter. That should be plenty of power. I don't think you ruined anything. I think your just disconnected. JMHO

  • Ho,
First, you posted in the wrong place. I asked the moderator to move it for you.
Yes, you need to take the batteries out and use an external battery charger to recharge them. It is possibly that your converter is not capable of bringing them back from the brink. An external charger should do the trick.
