What a great safety feature! It keeps you from backing over wingnuts and inattentive children, and assists you in snugging the big, fat truck into tight parking spaces. If you live in the frigid north it also has bonus features. It will relentlessly warn you about ice and slush frozen to your bumper while cruising down the interstate. Not to mention that it's also relentless in pointing out that your garage is much smaller than you'd like. Yes, it does have STFU buttons, but they're not necessarily that easy to reach while driving. I envy you GM guys for that vibrate instead of beep feature. I've had to chip ice, melt ice, and repeatedly clean those danged things nearly a dozen times already just this month!!
Worthless.
Too many "false" beeps..
Darn thing beeps at me when backing down into my driveway.. It beeps at the bushes and a sign post 15 ft away from the driveway..
It beeps at the bumps in the driveway which gets worse when wet.. Not to mention goes absolutely ballistic with a light layer of snow!
Then it beeps as I am getting close to the garage, beeps when it the opening of said garage..
Beeps at anything within 10 feet of the sides of said vehicle inside the garage..
Our Mamby pamby society can't figure out how to safely back and park vehicles now days without having a bunch of overbearing beeps, whistles, chimes and even cameras overloading your senses..
And yes, coming to vehicles in 2017 if I remember correctly is mandatory backup cameras :R .. Something else to break and cost more than the vehicle is worth when it breaks.
