Anyone installed Duotherm 3102903.006 hard start?

From what I've read in old threads, it sounds like this device has a true potential relay, which makes it a nice alternative to the less expensive PCTR hard start kits, like supco, and the more expensive easy start solutions.

I've found several recommendations for this part, especially in some great old threads with posts from Chris Bryant and other great contributions, but I haven't found any posts from someone reporting back on the success of the install.

I'm sure it's been done, and I'm hoping some folks can chime in with feedback to help me with my decision. Others have also referenced the equivalent part from 521, but from what I've read, it sounds like that unit isn't suited as well for our 13.5/15k btu systems. I'd appreciate any corrections if my assumptions are off--learning as I go here. Thanks!

The factory kit should work better than a general fits all kit. Since you need to get on roof anyway get the actual compressor model # & go to local hvac supply & they can look up exact relay & cap for that compressor . If you are unsure of makeing the wiring harness then get the factory kit.
I'm retired AC guy so this is just experience. I have never needed to add a start kit to my RV's and with a fixed orifice metering device shouldn't need one in most cases.
