Atwood check valve

Looking for any advice on replacing my hot water heater check valve as it has started to make a buzzing noise like there is trash in it or it is coming apart inside. It attaches directly to the back of the HWH and a plastic T connector. It look like if I try and remove the CV the other end will tighten on the plastic connector. Looks like I will have to remove and disassemble the Bypass valve and all the lines to replace it. If anyone has replaced theirs any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
  • Should be a screw on connection for Hot water line to HWH outlet.....then other connections/fittings would be crimped/clamped on

Same for cold water inlet.........should be a screw connection

Check valve IS internal assembly of that nipple screwed into HWH Tank Hot out.

IF no screw connections then you will have to cut crimp band off-----and cuss RV MFG. for doing it that way

Here is how it should be..screw connections at tank

    The wrong way...ALL crimped connections
