Aux propane tank hook up -- fittings

Question

I want to be able to connect a 20 LB propane tank, with a tee, valve, and fitting to connect a short gas hose to a Motor home tank outlet. Every place I've looked all I can find is kits to run gas from the MH tank.

I stay for two or three Months at a Fla. CG, last year I ran out, and being a pain to move, had a PP truck make a delivery. I got the del and the shaft also. My water htr. runs on gas only, I've thought of installing an ele. heater in the tank, has any one had good luck with doing this. A spare tank or ele element install.

Camco has a version of the Marshall Gas Extend-A-Stay that will do exactly what you want, plus supply a grill, gas light, etc., from either tank.

There is a product called a "Hott Rod" that bills itself as a conversion kit to add electric to your RV water heater. It appears to install in the drain bung of your water heater. Can't comment on its effectiveness. Found it on google using a simple search for "RV water heater element."
