Synthetic Gasoline ?
All Gasoline could be considered synthetic
It's a man made product from crude oil, that's been around since before the Wright Brothers
But I'll bite
Please explain to me, what makes synthetic Gasoline different from pump Gasoline
And why its called synthetic besides price and marketing, quite frankly this is the first time i heard of it

And yes synthetic oil is made from normal oil that is produced by cracking at the refinery,
By altering the polymer molecular chains
I assume ?? Synthetic Gasoline is a similar
process

Made from combining hydrogen and other products,
No crude oil or refinery Gasoline involved

I use synthetic gas in small carburetor engines that sit around - chain saw, trimmer, leaf blower, generator if it is going to sit, for trouble free starting.

7 year shelf life.

I'll use pump gasohol or 91 ethanol free if it is a multi-fill job then make sure the machine is left with synthetic in it again.

I've never had a problem finding fuel at listed gas stations.

After the 2nd time in 3 years of spending $75 repairing a snow blower and over $100 repairing a lawn mower, I'll pay for the avgas. Five years later, they are still 1st pull start every time.

Few years ago we had to lie and say the race gas was for a boat. They had you sign your name on a sheet of paper.

Not sure what happened with that. Maybe just a california thing. I buy race gas at the pump a few times a year for the last 25 years. Was only a brief time where they had you sign some sheet.

I had a fuel line crack in 6 months from 91 octane bought in socal. Wasnt a quality fuel line and it says do not use with over 10% ethanol. I was shocked how quickly it failed. Hard to see in the pic but there were cracks over the entire length of the line.

I have been using gas with ethanol for many years in everything, and never have I had any issues with it. No melted rubber hoses, no aged out gas, no clogged carbs, nothing. I have a roto tiller that is probably 40 years old, it burns the stuff just fine. It gets run maybe once a year, and sits with untreated fuel in the tank the rest of the time. Starts with a few pulls.

In the Minneapolis area non-ethanol is fairly easy to find. It's usually a separate pump. In Iowa you will find regular, super-regular and premium at many stations. Super-regular is the cheapest. Both super-regular and premium contain ethanol. Regular is non-ethanol and costs about the same as premium. In Florida non-ethanol gas is typically called recreational gas. In Wisconsin premium is non-ethanol at stations I have gassed up at. I don't know if that's true for all stations.

It seems that the availability of non-ethanol varies by region.

I don’t know what all the excitement is about, in most places premium gas has no ethanol in it.

This posting has revealed little, at least to me. If I go to buy corn on the cob it is outrageously expensive. Why? Corn for beef? Expensive And farmers are selling corn for gasoline at stupidly low prices per ton. Open your eyes get less stupid. It's all in the commodity cost pages.
