Awning destroyed in storm

3rd time out and a big storm came along and took care of my awning. We were trying to make it back from the lake and didn't make it in time. The good news is insurance will replace with 50$ deductible. My question for the folks is anyone have to replace theirs after a storm? Did your adjuster want you to replace with same brand? I meet the adjuster next week. Not sure where they are gonna send me and what they are going to want me to get.

We had a slightly better experience than you. When returned to rv park at night after visiting cousin, found our awning doing it job. Only issues was, it was shading the top of the 5vr.

Luckily, a permanent park camper had gotten camp mgr and secured our awning best they could until we returned.

Only damage was a slightly bend section of metal that I was able to pound back into position and re-attached awning.

When we left for the day, no wind in sight and none forecast. A learning experience.
