awning parts

I've got the roller part of an 18' awning that came off my TT. Canvas was ripped, so I took it off and had it stored in my garage. Yesterday, sold TT but the guy didn't want the awning roller, took the arms. Now it's sitting in my front yard. Is it worth anything? Should I just give it away or junk it?
  • I will not be able to measure it until the end of March, but thinking about it I would guess 12 to 13 feet.
PM me and I'll let you know how long it is when I get a chance to measure it.

    Dusty
  • How short Dusty? I'm looking for a 15 foot tube.
  • I have a short tube with the awing. If anyone needs a short one. I took it off and put a longer one on.
  • I wish you were closer. I bent mine last week while camping at Fort Wilderness. I may try to straighten mine as shipping is almost as much as the cost of the roller.
  • If the hardware is in good shape, it's easily worth $100- around here it would sell for that in a flash.

On edit- for just the roller tube it wouldn't be as much, but I would try Craigslist for $50, then scrap.
  • Scrap aluminum. Leave it sit in the yard and someone will steal it from you.

It would be of value to someone that has bent their tube, but connecting to that person and shipping would be a difficulty. You could always advertise it on Craigslist and maybe sell it to someone local.
