awnning stains

I think any product mentioned would work, but what I do is to use a combination of bleach and soap, some thing that will suds up and hold the bleach to the awning, then brush the awning top and bottom with the solution. Once brushed on I roll up the awning and let it soak in for 1/2 hr. Extend the awning and rinse. My vinyl awning is 18 years old and will look new after this process.

Spray bottle with some bleach....a little Dawn soap and water. Spray the underside.....roll it up for about 30 minutes.Open it up,,.hose it off.

Try Mean Green Mold, and mildew remover. Spray it on liberally . Roll up the awning, Let soak, unroll. Pour mean green in a bucket, and mop it on both sides with a sponge mop. Mop till it is gone. Works GREAT. I just did mine. Looks like new.

Awnning is vinel so I guess it didn't bleed thanks we were out 2 wks ago and no stains then I just don'T KNOW

Will try the bleach and water and tilex thanks for the idea dw is telling me she told me the same thing ?

If the brown stain is directly under/the same color as the top surface, I'd think that's exactly what's happened. Or it might have transferred from one surface to the other as the awning rolled up.

This presuming that the fabric is something other than vinyl.

Water can seep into a rolled up awning during storage..It sits there and then causes mildew/stains.

Did you try a bleach/water mixture in a spray bottle or I use Tilex Bathroom Mold and Mildew Remover.
