- DrewEExplorer IIMaybe something like this (Trans Dapt 9323)? It does seem a bit pricey; welding up some angle irons would seem to me to be a reasonable solution.
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe spare tire cover particleboard and felt takes up the entire trunk floor. So the plan had to be revised. The Lifeline 2-story is for the house. I've gotten a DEKA 31 that will just have enough room to jam in between front and rear seats. I do not want ANOTHER 3-day shank's mare Easter Egg Hunt to replace another failed group 34. A hundred a thirty three dollars for 29 pounds of flooded battery Krap!
Today's automotive design philosophy is to build chew & spit junk that never strays far from a tow service or garbage can.
Looks like a countersunk 1/4" aluminum floor plate screwed to the floor, with an aluminum 1-1/2" channel cross top of battery bar and 1/4" rod with Nylocks. - NinerBikesExplorerI've been taking a couple of 3 foot scrap pieces of Romex 14-2 and I twist them tight to hold my 150 ah AGM battery in place. Fabricated a box to house it out of scrap 3/4" plywood and drywall screws.
- landyacht318ExplorerMex, if this is for the highly desirable 150AH Lifeline gpl-30HT, it is 13.5 inches long, about 1/2 inch longer than a group 31.

Me thinks a custom fabrication might be in order.
I've looked for battery trays that could accept a Trojan t-1275, basically the same footprint as the lifeline linked above, back when I thought I still needed a dedicated house battery. Despite extensive searching, I found nothing that I could use but I did find some galvanized scrap from an Electrical box lid which could work, but then I decided I don't need no stinking house battery.
edit, the 13.5 inches includes the edge support grid, and does not represent the footprint which is 12.46" so a group 31 tray would work on the gpl-30ht.
I thought the battery was going in your toad's trunk?
You doing the alternator mopar ECM VR mod you helped me complete?
Mine still works awesome. Love choosing the correct voltage for the battery. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerVery limited mounting room between front & rear seats, on center tunnel
- GordonThreeExplorerHaven't seen one myself, granted I did not look very hard.
When I outfitted my coach with 4x G31 batteries, I built a tray from 7-ply 3/4" plywood, and the same 1" wide as lip around the edge. For hold-down, I used a 1000# rated ratcheting tie-down strap, which passed under the tray, prior to it being screwed into the floor of the coach.
I check the tautness of the strap annually, when I check torque on the various electrical connections.
