With the converter off, the generator will have no effect on the 12v outlets. They work from the batteries.

I will tell you this, I have several friends and none can run their 1300's on their EU 2000.No way is a 1500btu going to run.
There are a few 13's that will run at sea level, but they won't run at any kind of elevation.
