changing from 2 12volt batteries to 1 12v battery

I am thinking on changing from 2 27 series batteries to 1 31 series interstate battery. We seldom dry camp except when spending the night at a Walmart when we're traveling to and from our snowbird loc...

I have 2 G29 batteries & removed them for the winter. Since it looks like we won't be doing any extended dry camping I'm only going to install one of the batteries this spring. I figure even if we do one dry overnight I should be OK.
