Changing out the shower valve

Question

My shower valve started leaking so I need to replace it. It looks like I can use a standard single handle shower pressure-balancing rough-in valve if I find one similar to the one I have to avoid hose work. Anyone replaced one with a home model?

Most of the Motorhome Shower faucets are identical to residential installs. Most of the time, if you can get the same or identical Cartridge, you just pull it out and slide the new one in. Doug

No worries, everything in my rv's are home units, I can't see why your idea Wouldnt work.We try to stick with Moen because the replacement cartridges are free.

Thanks for the responses. I opened the wall behind the valve and now just need to clip the hose clamps and pull the valve. Dave
