Hah! Like me. Had someone given me a radial arm saw, a worm drive saw, a claw hammer, or other woodworking tool 30-years ago and I guarantee they would be like new today.

As a firefighter we carry a cutter like that to cut battery cables if needed after a car accident.

Without this little jewel i wouldn't be able to cut cable (crippled hands). I have cut 350 MCM CU which is 2 sizes larger than 4/0 cable. The head opens up

I have one of those, and yes it is a very nice tool. I've cut many a piece of 4/0 with them and they seem to last reasonably long.

I was imagining sharpening my 24" blade Latin style Machete and laying the cable across a log. The thunk of steel in wood would be more pleasing than the sound a racheting mechanism :)

Beautiful round with no hemispherical cut line in the stranding. Does not chew Neoprene, Hypalon, or Cross Link insulation.

Some guys use cutoff wheels to keep the shape. Does it make a clean cut without squishing the cable?
