Cold Water to BathRm, No hot. No water to kitchen,

I am in a 2008 WInner's Circle Toy Hauler. Our main water inlet is towards the front of the 5th wheel. We have cold water going to the shower and sink and toilet, yet no hot water to the shower or sink. We don't have any water going to the kitchen sink. We also have a washer & dryer in the garage, but I have not checked the water there. I can feel the water tank is hot and no fuses are blown. I have unplugged and replugged it in. I do not have experience in electrical or plumbing, but can learn quickly and follow directions. Please help!!! If you have any suggestions on what to do or check, please message me ASAP.
  • Not hot water could be the check valve in water heater hot outlet stuck or has failed.......

    No water to kitchen faucet.....
Hot side probably due to the WH check valve problem
Cold side could be a frozen line...yes a frozen section f line even with the rig roasty--toasty....just depends on where that cold waterline runs.

    Turn your water OFF
Disconnect hot water outlet line at water heater and inspect the check valve inside nipple on WH tank. (Check valve is only needed when winterizing bypassing WH when winterizing---if using just remove internals. Get a new one when you need it)

Then disconnect cold water line at kitchen faucet----stick it in a bucket, slowly turn on water and check for flow. Got flow then check faucet for debris at connection and aerator.
No flow.....then find where line is frozen. (there are no isolation valves in system other than AT the components)

I don't know where you are actually measuring that 40 deg, but I suspect you have a cold water line frozen somewhere going to both the kitchen area and to the WH. A oipe adjacent to an exterior surface away from your heat source can still freeze up and block water to where ever that line goes. I would recommend you make a detailed diagram when you can were all your water lines actually run when you have the opporutunity. When I dropped the coroplast from my enclosed underbelly I found the lines going from one side of the trailer to the other laying directly on that coroplast and in the coldest part of the underbelly. I secured them to the floor where the warmest part of the underbelly is.

  • We have everything skirted with 3 heaters underneath with a temp gauge. It's runs around 40 degrees underneath with all water hoses heat taped, including the ground water. Cold water is coming in, and hits the shower and sink and toilet first, then runs to the kitchen, I believe. This is where the problem occurs. No hot water is being pumped back to the bathroom area, and no water at all is being pumped to kitchen sink. Nothing is frozen and I can feel heat around the 10 gallon holding tank.
  • Possibly frozen lines? Open cabinet doors and allow heat to get to the lines.
