Compressor won't start

In case anyone comes across this post while searching for AC problems, the resolution to my particular issue is on page 2 of this thread.

Ok - trying to make a long story short - we are camping and I can't seem to get the compressor to start on the AC.

Here's what I know...
-It worked just fine upon arrival last night.
-While making breakfast this morning, the 30a circuit at the pole tripped.
-I reset the circuit, and after a while, it tripped again.
-After the second trip, I moved to the 50a feed in case it was a bad circuit.
-Found that the vents were blowing mild air (no cooling going on), so I started to investigate.

Results...
-Power feed is running between 115-119a according to digital meter.
-Thermostat starts fan when on 'auto,' so system is being engaged, but compressor is not running.
-After futzing around for a while earlier, I did get the compressor to start again, but then returned to find the circuit tripped again.
-Since then, no compressor.

Any ideas? It's only 85 outside, so it should be able to cool - but it does not even seem to be turning on. If welcome any input.

Thanks!!
