Converter Whine
My 5ver converter occasionally whines at a very high pitch. It appears to resolve once I put a load on it by turning on lights, etc. Is there anything I can do to keep the converter from whining?

It may be the laminations in the transformer vibrating. If so then tightening the screws that go through it (if present) may help. But, sometimes the only thing you can do is replace it.
Look for anything else in there that might be vibrating though.
