Cooktop Burner Valves

We have a Magic Chef/Whirlpool oven/cooktop(CLY1620BDB) in our 5r. The front burner is a "high speed" valve that turns counterclockwise first to light and continues in the counterclockwise direction to low. The two rear burners the valve turns all the way counterclockwise to light than the opposite direction (clockwise) to low and subsequently off. It is very easy to turn the burner off when trying to adjust to the lowest flame level.

I am considering replacing the valves(and knobs) on the two back burners to operate the same as the front burner. For no other reason than I would prefer the operation be the same for all three and I like the function of the front high speed burner.

Has anyone done this or know someone that has? Opinions?
  • Looking at the set up was the 1st step. Second step was to confirm that the valves are available as a parts purchase, which they are.
  • Lift up stove top and look at burner assembly.

Don't think you can change out the other two burners to same set up as front burner.
