Curt Hitch Rail Sound Dampening Pads ?

I was going to get a set of these but did not order because of the reviews on Amazon.

Anyone use them? I would like input on the durability.
  • Due to the small foot print of my OLD hitch, Curt Q16, It would destroy the pads in one trip. YMMV
  • In the clunking noise thread going in the 5th wheel section they claim making your own out of inner tube rubber last a lot longer. Chris
  • For $5 I guess they would be worth a try as long as you can still get the pins back in. With the 5er loaded not so much. The pin weight would keep everything compressed so no rattles.
Buy an old Cummins, you won't hear rattles and clunks :).
