OK electrical experts, need some help brain-storming this issue.We are fulltiming in our 5'er. As of this morning, my battery is dead. The reason I knew, is because the outdoor Entry sensor light was flashing red. We're on shore power, but cannot figure out what's going on. Had to rush off to work this morning so I haven't had time to do much, other than, check to see if the battery disconnect is still turned on. It was! Couldn't be a bad battery, the darn thing is only 1 year old. I've been plugged into shore power constantly for 5 months.Could it be the inverter?, or a fuse issue somewhere? I'm perplexed.Just one thing to add:My furnace had a problem on Sunday (2) days ago. The blower motor stopped working. I took the cover pannel off the exterior wall of the coach to take a look inside, saw an (on/off) switch. Since I knew I had a problem with the motor, i just turned that switch "Off". Surely that didn't disconnect DC to entire coach?Looking for suggestions to try before I reach in my wallet.Thanks!!!!

Sounds like your converter stopped charging for some reason.

The easiest track down follows power cables from the house battery. They'll lead right to the converter no matter how far you have to slither under your rig to find them. Battery charging usually is quite near the DC power fuses.

Embarrassed? You shouldn't be. Not a bit. IMHO you were wise. You came to this forum asked questions, got answers, looked for the problem, found it and fixed it - by yourself.

So I crawl into the basement storage area, remove the wall, squeeze into the area next to the converter, check the fuses, they are all good! As I'm setting there thinking, now what? I see a power cord from the converter to a nearby outlet. Ahhhh, it's not fully plugged in. I push the plug in tighter, all problems solved with the battery issue. Elated! But embarrassed.

Check BOTH voltages right at the charger.

DISCONNECT optional battery charger.

CHECK voltage at output studs of charger. Nowhere else. The battery charger studs that go to the battery. Turn on 4 light bulbs, wait five minutes then check voltage again. Write it down.

If battery voltage is low, check the AC power (careful here) at the AC shore-power inlet terminals of the charger. Again, nowhere else. Right at the charger. Write it down.

Then return the forum and post what you wrote down.

Ok folks. I get home tonight and the frig is blinking low DC and warm. Not cooling. AC is plugged into 50amp service. All DC lights are very low. I plug in the battery charger, hook the leads to the battery and now DC lights are bright and everything is working. Battery is taking a charge. No doubt if I disconnect the charger, battery will drain.
So now what? Fuse somewhere? ? ?
Any suggestions are welcome.
All breakers are on. No trips.

Either the charger or the battery is dead. A shorted battery will not charge even if the charger is good.

I always check the battery terminals when we hookup to shore power with a multimeter to be sure they are charging. A fully charged battery will read 12.6-7 VDC at the terminals and when you hookup to shore power this reading should jump to 13.6VDC or higher depending what charge mode the converter/charger is in.

This tells me all connections - fuses- etc between the trailer converter/charger and the battery terminals is working properly.

Way too many intangibles that can be confusing the main problems encountered.

Relying on light indicators, operation of appliance switches, and a master disconnect switch only clouds the issues. It may be that your blower motor stopped working from lack of sufficient DC voltage.

For troubleshooting, you'll need a handheld meter.

depends on which one you have if not under the fusepanal and is a deck mount it will plug into the back of it and be anywhere within 3' of the panal.
