Did you get your free DISH voice remote?

Last time I called DISH to change locals they said I qualified for a voice remote no charge.

Just letting everyone know.

We got our free voice remote quite some time ago. Tried it a couple times and havenโ€™t used it since.

My free 54.1 voice remote came without me contacting Dish at all. I tried it for a couple of days and found I still prefer the older 40.0 remotes for my Hoppers. The voice remote went back in the box and is stored as a spare.

You have to press the mic button to talk to it.
I wouldnโ€™t call using a voice remote lazy. ALL remotes promote laziness.
I remember dad sitting in his Lazy Boy telling one of us to change the channel.

I havenโ€™t used it long enough to form an opinion.

Good deal. What receiver do you have?

Must be a Hopper AND must have Google assistant installed to work

See HERE for details.

But honestly, why so darned lazy folks?

Takes very little effort to get up to do things and also push a couple of buttons to change channels..

Besides, I don't care for Google tracking MORE of my life than absolutely necessary, they already make huge amounts of money selling your personal habits info..

Not to mention nothing like a "open mic" to your home which can and does record your spoken thoughts 24/7/365..
