I would add satellite TV as an option to our home away from home. I have DirecTv at home and am thinking about what I would have to do to just add a dish, cable and the receiver. I assume that I would be able to just take the receiver from home. Is that a good assumption? Yes we take or HR44 with us when we leave home.
What dish would I need to be able to have it work? Is there a good web site that has more info on what to do? Your rig dish must be a SWM type which is similar in size to a SL3. The HR44 only supports SWM dishes.
As background I have a Genie (HR44-500). For what it is worth I just want basic channels, nothing special. You'll have the same channels in the rig as home. Do you have a home HD TV? The HR44 supports SD and HD but a rig HD TV provides a better quality picture.
Thanks in advance.
