Supposedly, uniform temperatures between 35 and 40 F are optimum for the food stored in the refrigerator. Norcold or Dometic, I never could get my gas refrigerators to come anywhere close not even with interior and exterior fans.
We've had 2 different Dometics that worked fine in the SW, one time it was 115F. At those temperatures it does take several days for the initial cool down.
IMHO this subject is one of the biggest headaches in RV'ing.X2
