dometic awning
I have a 8300 dometic awning. I replaced the fabric, while doing so i accidentally let all the tension out of the left spring. so once done with the fabric this is what i did and its not working.
re-tension right spring by turning counter clockwise
roll awning up by hand
insert right tension bracket into arm and bolt it
tension left spring by turning clockwise
insert left tension bracket into arm and bolt it
now I pull down the awning with the strap and it rolls out smoothly but when i flip the switch to roll up there is no tension what so ever.
The strange thing is if i disassemble the left side and pull the bolt out the spring violently unwinds..???Any ideas? I am lost on this one. any ideas would be great
