Dometic masterflush toilet antisiphon valve??

Recently I had to use a plunger to clear a clog in our Dometic electronic masterflush series 8700 toilet (this has a macerator pump in the discharge line). When I applied pressure to the line, water was squirting out the back of the toilet. I have another 8700 toilet that does not squirt out the back when clearing a clog. I looked at the schematic and believe that the antisiphon valve may be malfunctioning on the toilet that allows water to sqirt out the back.

Has anyone had similar issues with the antisiphon valve?
  • If you have a clog on these toilets, I am amazed that a plunger would work at all. The usual cause of a plug is the Impellor area gets jammed and no amount of plunging would free that up. When you plunge this type toilet, that pressure is forced somewhere and the anti siphon is the logical place for that water to shoot out. Otherwise, the various hose clamps would not hold and then then pressure would force the sewage out behind the toilet. Plunging a Dometic Macerator toilet is not the best way to fix a clog. Doug
