Dometic r m 2862 duty cycle

Hi all, I have a pretty good understanding of absorption fridges but one thing I’m a little fuzzy on.
When I go to unplug shore power at home I always listen for the gas burner to kick in on my fridge...
Now, would I always hear the gas flame igniting or, if the fridge was “up to temp” ie, off of its duty cycle Would then the gas flame not ignite?
I’m assuming there is a duty cycle??
Please someone clarify this for me thanks!
  • If the fridge is set on anything less than it’s coldest setting, you may not hear the LP flame start up immediately when AC power is removed. I’ve seen that happen on mine many times. If I’m wanting to make sure the flame will come on, I just bump the setting up a number or two and the flame lights.

  • If the temperature id own to the setting, the burner will not light. There would be no flame in the DSI type refer. The circuit board would turn on the gas, spark and ignite the flame.
