Dometic Ref, HATE the blue lights?
My recently purchased new 5th wheel came with the Dometic refrigerator that has the blue interior lights. I hated them as you could not identify the food in the ref because the color never looked right.
I sent an E-mail to Dometic and complained about the blue lights and said that :I wish there was a way to get rid of them and get white lights". They responded and with a phone number(see Below). I contacted them and they said that they would send me out WHITE lights for FREE.
So in installed them today. The hardest part was figuring how to get the light enclosure down. There are two Philips head screws and they are located in a "recessed pockets", they are at the front edge of enclosure, and adjacent to the two end lights closest to the front. Removed screws and entire assembly came down. There are two plug ins to take off printed circuit board. Then there are three little clips that hold board to enclosure, one at center and one at each end.
I just removed board and snapped new one into place. Door switch is also held in palace by light enclosure, and it may pop out, but easy to put back in place.
Now I know what I am eating.
