If you have an inverter/charger like Prosine 2.0 and it is properly installed, try to start A/C with inverter ON. Normally when generator is running the inverter is in STAND-BY mode. When the compressor bogs down the generator, the inverter takes over for a moment and A/C start instantly. Totally painless.
