DTV with SD

Others have known this, but I just recently was made aware of DTV dropping SD. I have a (DTV) King Dome mounted on the roof of my MH. I was on the King Quest web site and they say they have a Universal Controller accessory that can be used if you have a DTV antenna and want to switch to Dish and keep your original dish. Do you have any experience with this or know if it really works?

Yes, it works. You also need a dealer control pad (available for rent from KD as well) to make the change from DTV to Dish. You then must also manually change satellites if the channel you want to watch is on a different satellite which can be a pain. However, depending upon the age of your dome it might not work with Dish. Check the dome model number and serial number and check with King Controls (King Dome) to see if your antenna will work.
