i've got 2 water tanks, both made by Aztec, and both are cracked. tried plastic welding and it just doesn't work.

IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLEX SEAL TAPE AND ETERNA BOND RV ROOF REPAIR TAPE?

has anyone used either to repair a small leak on their water tanks, i think i have 6" wide tape so there would be plenty of overlap.

has anyone compared the 2? i almost think this flex seal guy is just remarketing eternabond tape

Permanent, all weather, waterproof, Gorilla Tape (not the regular Gorilla Tape) is pretty tough and sticky, too.

You might want to try it ... but it costs a bit more and you may have to order it, as many stores may carry only the regular Gorilla Tape.

Odd. Usually black is ABS. Could check with some ABS glue to see if it softens the plastic. If it does I recommend Plasti-Mend as a permanent repair.

I understand nothing will stick to polyethylene.

Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

i did call them, very unhelpful. get better help on here by far. it's not like they are going to send me new tanks or anything.

White polyethylene or black ABS?

they are defintely black tanks, the question wound up being when i went to plastic weld them, are they poly ethylene or abs. i think they wound up being poly ethlene.

Completely Agree-- Not really designed for what your attempting but if it works, It will be with the Eternabond. I would take some fine sandpaper to the tank side to rough it just slightly to give the Eternabond some texture to grip. Randu
