Executive Stereo

Greetings------- I Have a Executive 5.1 stereo, DVD , Radio ..... Player in my RV, A 2005----

Upon returning from a trip,(My first trip in rig I just bought in December)- it "Plays" the DVD sound, it shows the tracks, counts down -BUT, the screen just sits there and shows "DVD player", sound tracks run, it plays , but no picture of the DVD playing, just the sound and running display of track, Track numbers.

Yes, I tried different DVDs --same results.


Any ideas??? Junk???

Thanks for the replies it's kind of odd -- it's the older style I guess it looks kind of like a DVD player ----but see it also has my AM FM stereo radio in it and the surround sound ---and all that ---so the radio part in all that works ----it's just it doesn't show the DVD playing .

so I may be able to make up my Sony Blu-ray to put the signal into the TV through the HDMI and then send the audio signal up into the other players so have surround sound.

Executive and those type DVD/Radio's are very poor Chinese junk. Having one last 10 years is amazing. You can get a similar type but I would figure out how to get a regular DVD/Surround(Walmart/Best Buy) sound system in the cabinet around this old DVD player. Doug

11 years is pretty good service out of a typical RV player. I don't know who makes the Executive but if it's like the usual Jensen or other, it's low end quality.
If you can, replace it with one of the better brands like Pioneer, Sony, etc..

A single DIN space unit can be retrofitted into a larger space hole with accessory bezel fixtures. Crutchfield sells some of this.

Try updating the DVD firmware. It fix the problem of both a DVD and a Blu ray player that we own.

Connection issue or, the player is not picking up the video tracks, aka junk.
