There is a cutout switch that turns off the fan when the cover is closed.
That switch goes bad sometimes.
This happens to mine every once in a while, that pin switch sticks or has enough dirt and corrosion on it so it does not make contact. All I have to do to un-stick it is open and close the lid manually a couple inches a few times and it starts working again.
If that does not work, if you remove the screen, feel around for the switch and push it up and down a few times. Make sure to turn the fan off first :E
Please let us know what you figure out.
the switch u r talking about is that the same pin that the above poster talked about??? if so than u are saying its not on the lift motor itself but somewhere around the rim where the screen is?
thanks
