so have a 2007 attitude toyhauler. 2 different crimps (toilet supply and hot water to showerhead) are leaking so i need to re crimp the pipe i guess. any thoughts, i have normal crimping tool for regular house plumbing, for Pex pipe. the crimps are different though. the metal crimp on the trailer has a "ear" on it, kind of leftover metal after they crimped it

what is best way to remove crimp?

I have clipped those with wire cutters but they can be a lil bit stiff. Be aware there are a couple of pipe types from that era that vary slightly on thicknesses.

A small hose clamp works best for something you might remove, but, I don't view is as permanent connection.

A pair of Dikes (large wire cutters) cuts the crimp off at the Knuckle (ear). There are several types of bands, the one I found at ACE has a ratchet type of crimp. the other is just a bending ring, I suppose the plain bending ring would be the easiest to cut off with cutters.

If that is the "ear" i am thinking about, a good set of side cutters or wire cutters on the ear does it for me.
