Yes, you can check for charge.
Using a volt meter. I would start by unplugging the rig from shore power. Test for voltage level on the battery(ies). Now plug in the rig, and check to see what voltage level is.
If it is unchanged, it is likely the battery is not being charged.
Go to 12 volt DC distribution panel. Look for a main battery fuse. Check for voltage there.
Good voltage there look for circuit breaker or fuse near battery.
No or battery voltage, locate the converter. Note for make and model! Look for reverse polarity fuses. Depending on make and model of converter determines if it has any.
Check for 120 volt AC power to converter.

Not directly.
It is connect to the 12 volt DC distribution panel.

Is the propane detector connected to the battery charger?
We are having some really cold weather and went to turn on the tank heaters and all hell broke loose ***turn tems off noise quit, Checked battery charge on wall showed 1 lite, so hooked up my boat battery charger to see if they will charge.
The unit is plugged into 110, so not sure what going on????

If the propane detector is over 7 years old then it needs to be replaced. Some require replacement at 5 years. Of course this is one of those things nobody stays on top of unless the alarm starts going off then they usually disconnect them. These things can save your live, make sure they work properly.

Maybe the oven pilot light is out but still on--quite a few RV oven pilots do not have any sort of flame sensor interlock for the pilot itself, but only for the main burner.

I think it was the pilot lite on stove which was turned on but not lit.

The propane detectors are sensitive to various other gasses in addition to propane and sometimes can be there triggered by things like aerosols, pets with gas, etc. They also can trip if the 12V system voltage us low.

A gas leak at a fridge generally ought not readily cause alarms as the gas parts are in the outside vented section and sealed off from the interior. Check that all the stove and oven controls are off. Depending on model of detector, it could be fumes from the cooling unit install.
