Generac Guradian Generator

The guy that did mine just bumped the starter to get into the ballpark.

pull the spark plug first.

That's what Ive come up with, don't see any other way. And of course I'll pull the plug.

FWIW, my 2001 GENERAC 5500 runs flawlessly (over 800 hours now)....I think I have hydraulic valves...in any case, it ain't broke so I'm not gonna fix it.

Well it's broke so I'm fixing it. It had a broken rocker arm that the guy welded and it didn't hold. Got a new arm today in the mail. So I need to replace it asap and the valves will need to be adjusted, hence this post. Nice to hear your happy with your Generac as I've heard more negative than good, but that's what I got so I'm going with it. I got a Honda 2K but being to turn on and off from inside would be nice when it's cold and wet and I don't have to go outside and pull on a rope!!!
