Question

I lost my Honda eu3000is 3000W 25A 120VFW is set up so can run on other 120V or 240V true step down transformerCan get Honda 3000w 12.5A 240V in OZMy air conditioner 15000btu 12.9A ?1548W is same as in previous FW and this started with a Yamaha 2400W 240v generator.Will both do same job or one be more efficient than the other thanks.Frank.

Assuming your transformer is sufficiently large to cover the startup surge of the air conditioner (and not just its running power), the two Honda setups would be all but indistinguishable. You would lose a negligible amount of power to transformer losses with the 240V model, perhaps a percent or two.

If the transformer is undersized for the startup surge, it will limit the current available (and maybe also get quite warm in the process).
