GFCI issue

I have an 09 Amerilite 21 with 30 amp service.
At home I keep it plugged into a 15 amp receptacle with a dogbone adapter. Been like that for almost 2 years.
Had it out this weekend all was fine. Put it away today and every time I click on my surge protector the house GFCI trips.
Checked all my connections, since it was raining when I hooked it up, all good and dry.
Turned off all inside breakers, no trip. Kicked the breakers in the trailer on one by one. The only one that makes it trip is my trailer GFCI internal breaker.
I have heard there were problems hooking a GFCI into a GFCI.
Could this be my problem?
If so why after 2 years?
Or does everything just need to dry out completely?
Sorry this is so long, but I know specifics are important.
Thanks for your help.
  • Tried more than one house outlet, still tripped them.
I will check the refridge outlet today in daylight.
Checked the outside outlet on the trailer, it was dry.
I think it had to be something got wet while I was plugging it.
May not ever happen again. If it does, or is still, I will have to hunt it down.
Thanks for the ideas on where to start looking.
  • Your house GFI could be bad also. I have had to replace the one in the bathroom a few time
  • Just for grins, try unplugging the fridge. Could also be water heater or converter which is probably hard wired.
  • Thanks ScottG Refridge and all appliances are off. It is in a storage only position.
No lights One small 110 fan for circulation.
I will check in the outside ref compartment.
  • There is no problem with plugging a GFCI circuit into another one - or even dozens of them.
You need to figure what else is on that GFCI. It could be the GFCI itself but more likely it's the fridge (its heater to be exact) or an outside outlet that's wet.
