That is, a good retail source that will KNOW what my C needs given the make, year and model. And what is a ballpark price I should expect ? I did a search and couldn't find price mentioned anywh...

Summit Racing had the best price for me this past Fall. Maybe also try Shock Warehouse. They had the best price a few years ago.
They both had a chart for the shocks to fit, but mine was for a F150.
