Graywater drain valve sticking

Question

I tried a search but didn't find this topic. The slider or gate valve for our graywater tank drain is getting hard to pull our or push in. Any suggestions as to an appropriate lube.

I put a grease fitting on mine, and pump a few ozs of grease in every other year, when it gets hard to move. It is usually my black dump valve that sticks first.

Direct connection or cable activated?If cable, lube the cable with Dri Slide.If direct, pour some olive oil in the empty tank.

if it's exposed, replace it... 4 bolts... you're done..unless it's cable activated.. then you have to find it first..
