- 3_tonsExplorer IIIIf your asking will the 120v plugs work off the battery alone the answer is no unless you have a 12v to 120v inverter, or start the generator. Sorry, its not clear to me what it is you're asking.

Hello. I am camping without shore power and lights, radio, fans waterpump ets. Is running fine off of the batteries however none of the plug ins are working.if I run the generator the plugs work shouldn't the plugs work off the batteries???
NOPE!!!! The only thing that will work off the batteries are items that run on 12V power. the plugs are 120V, and for that you need either shore power or an inverter.
The following are common items that require 120V and won't run on the batteries:
Air Conditioning
Microwave
ALL the normal 120V plug outlets
Some TV's require 120V
In addition, normally when not hooked to shore power the Fridge will run on propane, the WH will run on propane, but if it also has an electric mode, that requires 120V power.
Also, when running off a generator I'd suggest setting the fridge to "gas" and NOT trying to use the WH electric mode. And you may find that trying to run the AC off the generator is not possible unless you have a reasonably large (>3000W) Generator. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerYour plugs work off electricity and not 12V...as already said the plugs have to be supplied with electricity via inverter and/or generator or being plugged in
- mudrat025ExplorerOk I just realized my buddys tv is plugged into a inverter and that's why its working...thanks guys!

I said 12v not 12vdc like you wrote...make sure you have your facts clear before you jump on something - mena661Explorer12V is still electricity.
