Help, Honda Eu 2000 has no spark

Question

our Honda Eu 2000 ( share it with 3 others for our fishhouse) has no spark. It quit working last weekend and we cannot get it to start. We started working on it today and found it had no spark. Any ideas on where to start? It is about 5 years old with about 800 hours on it.

Last year stator and coils were replaced.

Switch on and check the oil level

Try a known good spark plug. Recently someone here installed a new one in their Honda, and it turned out to be defective. So if possible, get one from a running engine, to see if that fixes it.
